R E N É   Z U R C H E R   PHOTOGRAPHS 1986-2004

 

René Zurcher was born in Winterthur and grew up in Lausanne, Switzerland.
From 1986 to 2004 he worked on four series of photographs in which the presence of the human figure and the nature was central. His first monograph was published in 1995 (foreword by Michèle Auer).
A photograph from the series Ten Ophtalmic Portraits was exhibited in 2008 at the Musée de l'Elysee
in the famous exhibition and publication Controverses (Cur. Daniel Girardin and Christian Pirker).

This first period of creation made exclusively with the medium of photography coul be called
the years of apprenticeship.

Since 2004 he expanded his focus and his vision exploring moving images and works on paper.
He deepens the relationship consciousness / subconscious, while training psychophanie therapist (Facilated communication) and silent meditation. In 2010 appears a new project: Osmocosomo.

René Zurcher est né à Winterthour et a grandi à Lausanne, Suisse.
Il développe de 1986 à 2004 quatre séries photographiques où la présence de la figure humaine
et celle de la nature sont centrales. Sa première monographie est publiée en 1995 (avant propos
de Michèle Auer). Une image de la série Dix Portraits Ophtalmiques est présentée en 2008 au
Musée de l’Elysée dans la célèbre exposition et publication Controverses (Cur. Daniel Girardin
et Christian Pirker).

Cette première période d'activité créatrice réalisée avec le médium photographique
sont les années d'apprentissage.

Depuis 2004 il élargit son approche et sa vision en explorant l'image en mouvement et la trace
sur papier. Il approfondi la relation conscience / inconscient en se formant à la psychophanie (communication facilitée) et à la méditation silencieuse. En 2010 voit le jour un nouveau projet: Osmocosomo.
